I started the day in a funk. Just felt terrible, mentally, physically, spiritually. Nothing major happened (well... a friend is in the hospital but she'll be okay, but that may have played a bit into it... but I digress). I just felt fat and useless and untalented and unworthy and unfulfilled and plain old yukky. Nothing was helping. I stayed in bed and watched Doctor Who all morning and took a nice long nap in the afternoon, and that didn't even help.
I had made a commitment to volunteer at a local event, and I had thought about pulling out, but hubby gave me some good advice: "When you don't feel like going out is exactly when you should." And he was right.
This is what the stroke of midnight looked like for me:
My night ended on a high note, and I was really thankful that I went. I spent time with fantastic people and had a blast, made a new friend, and plan on working with this group again!
I want to take a moment to thank all of you who read my blog, who follow me on Twitter and Facebook, and those who are fellow SPA sisters, GGS Crew, and members of other supportive groups who are so amazing and fantastic. I am so honored that you choose to take time to read my words, offer support, and overall have made my journey so far amazing. Knowing you are there is giving me the strength and confidence to continue working on getting healthy.
In the next week or so, look for posts on my New Year's fun, on the Commitment Day 5K I'm participating in today, and a review of Food Should Taste Good chips, as well as the giveaway I promised for reaching 1000 Twitter followers.
I hope your 2013 is fantastic and amazing and everything you wish it to be. Much love and energy to you.
